Microbiota: blond beer beneficial to intestinal health?

Previous studies have highlighted some benefits of beer, a capacity to prevent diabetes and osteoporosis in particular. This research, presented in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, suggests that lager, whether it contains alcohol or not, may promote the presence of good bacteria in the gut microbiota. Thus, the pilot study concludes that men who consume a lager a day have a more diverse microbiota, which can reduce the risk of many diseases.
